
Grown at Te Awanga. Hand harvested, whole bunch pressed. Barrel fermented (wild yeast) in 50% new French oak. Maturation on lees in barrel for 17 months. 470 cases produced, packaged in sixpacks.
This wine is from a unique premium stony site off the Gimblett Gravels, where the warm and dry autumn in 2008 allowed a perfect long slow ripening. This super-premium red wine blend has a vibrant colour with berry aromas and a rich texture. Packaged in sixpacks.
The Syrah grapes were hand harvested from our Mere Road vineyard on the Gimblett Gravels, producing a wine with poise, texture and balance. Aged in French oak barriques, this wine has a spicy nose with fine soft tannins and a harmonious finish. Packaged in sixpacks.
