Caine's comments:  

Being prolific farmers, Neil and Brent decided to take over the family vineyard and add it to their agricultural business. This vineyard is located on Moteo Pa just out of Napier. The site experiences some of the warmest summer temperatures in Hawke's Bay, and in some years is hotter than our Gimblett Road vineyard. The red metal soils are free draining and suitable for a wide range of varieties. Due to the soils and warm summer temperatures, both chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon perform very well on this site.

Neil and Brent are meticulous by nature and manage their vineyard to a very high standard.
