Caine's comments

Baz and Jill Jensen have been farming for most of their lives in Central Hawke's Bay. When part of their farm was identified as potentially a premium site for viticulture due to its north east facing aspect and its sloping gradient, the decision was made to plant vines on this piece of land. After a few hurdles, the block is now in full production, creating fruit with truly unique characteristics. The soil consists of silt loam over limestone which produces wines with incredible texture and intense floral aromas.

Baz is usually operating some sort of machinery on the vineyard but has occasionally been known to be found in the spa pool overlooking the vineyard on crisp winter mornings.
