Planted: First vines were planted in 1910
Size: 16.5 hectares
Varieties: chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot gris, semillon
Range contribution: primarily Estate range
Special feature:
Being fairly close to the sea means that vineyard temperatures are moderated during the day by the afternoon sea breeze. At night the temperatures are comparatively warmer than inland sites due to the warming influence of the Pacific Ocean. This relatively small diurnal variation (difference between day and night temperatures) provides perfect conditions for ripening these aromatic varieties.
