Special feature:   The stony, free-draining soils mean that vines are in balance throughout the growing season. This combined with warm mean temperatures and the ability of the gravel to optimise heat accumulation, results in intense flavour expression and linear tannin development. This vineyard is the warmest in our fruit supply and has the ability to consistently ripen these Bordeaux varieties and Syrah to their full potential. The nature of this warm site and the high level of vineyard management means that fruit from this vineyard forms a signficant portion of our Jewelstone and Reserve ranges.
